Tree planting event in Darmstadt in march 2007

It was a bright sunday when the priestess of the Christian Community in Darmstadt, Gisela Thriemer, came with the confirmands, their parents and friends to the western forest of Darmstadt to meet forester Monika Gölbel. It was an ideal place to plant the little pines prepared since autumn 2006.

the only tool is a spade
also the little ones participated with joy
the young pine will have their problems with the grass !
the hole is deep enough for the strong roots
it needs power to push the spade
soil must be firm around the roots
rounded spades are the best
this pine bears a tag with the name of her sponsor child

a good way to fix the soil
and at the end all join in a common singing...
will this eventually become such a big tree ?
